Press-release by Extremal Psychonauts:
"Notions about possible and impossible change quickly in our days..." once wrote in free press Lenin Prize laureate, Hero of Socialistic Labour, academician A. Tselikov. EKRAN and Boevye Cikady, both projects from St. Petersburg, entirely agree with comrade Tselikov's opinion and because of this decided to release a split-album in support of this statement. Science and technology, folk medicine and atomic energetics, astronautics and terrestrial fauna - here are the main ideological inspirers of the musicians. Melancholic atmosphere of laboratories, detachment of research officers and statistical registration of events are waiting for the attentive listeners in the first half of the disc recorded by EKRAN using old Soviet synthesizers. In contrast to this, Boevye Cikady get inside the animal microworld, decompoze the matter on frequency components and cheerfully explore the holographic structure of the Universe by means of digital music made with the help of Apple Macintosh software. The artwork is done in best D.I.Y. traditions - DVD-box with roughly xeroxed booklet containing visual accompaniment to the sound tracks. The edition is limited to 88 copies, but don't be afraid fellows, fascism won't go through!
